What I enjoy about my job
Managing a client’s aims and objectives as smoothly and timely as possible.
How I ‘make it happen’ for my clients
Using 40 years of experience to negotiate and navigate business and commercial property deals for a variety of corporate and private clients, including sales, purchases and leases. Over the years I have developed a particular expertise in relation to hotels.
A bit about my background
Graduated with a law degree from Leicester University in 1978. Qualified as a solicitor in 1981. I was a partner in a commercial practice in Surrey for 12 years working with Paul Morgan and Mel Smith. Paul and I formed Morgan Russell in 1999. Latterly I have worked as a consultant solicitor with Morgan Russell’s successor practice Dixcart Legal.
What I wish I’d known at the start of my career
That specialisation is a must! My early years were varied including matrimonial, criminal, litigation and conveyancing. All good grounding but impossible to maintain.
You might not know this about me but…
I have been married for nearly 40 years and I have 3 grown up children. I enjoy all sports and used to play club cricket for close to 50 years before my aching joints said enough is enough!
I enjoy spending hours walking our family dog and pottering in the garden.
