What I enjoy about my job
I enjoy working with a very professional, approachable and friendly team who all contribute to the same goal. Due to tax being a fast moving industry, I am always learning something new by keeping up to date with new or changing laws – this keeps the job fresh and exciting.

How I ‘make it happen’ for my clients
I like to be practical. I think it’s important to look beyond just putting figures on a tax return. Making clients aware of potential tax implications or navigating tax law to find creative ways to boost clients’ tax efficiency brings me great satisfaction. I believe providing a timely and tailored service is key to happy clients.

A bit about my background
I worked for a top 15 UK accountancy firm prior to joining Dixcart, working in all aspects of tax compliance including self-assessment, corporation tax, tax planning, P11Ds, PSA and ATED.

What I wish I’d known at the start of my career
Although still fairly early on in my career, I believe in being fearless and humble. Being faced with challenging situations is part and parcel of life but overcoming them will only develop you as a person. It is equally important to keep grounded. Regardless of how successful one may be, in my opinion remembering where you started, the struggles you faced on the way and the people that helped you reach where you are today gives me motivation and keeps me focused on the journey ahead.

You might not know this about me but…
I hold the record for 800m in athletics at the secondary school I attended (this was a while back so may have changed now!). I also religiously watch Lionel Messi and dread the day he retires!
