What I enjoy about my job
I enjoy assisting my clients to earn the maximum return from their efforts.

How I ‘make it happen’ for my clients
I act as an adviser to many clients, including international groups and UK based businesses. For many of these clients I have been asked to take a position on their Board in either an executive or non-executive role. I firmly believe that my experience in running a number of our group businesses is very relevant to assisting my clients to run theirs.

A bit about my background
I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1977. Since then, I have spent my entire career within the finance industry, including a number of years as Vice President of Security Pacific National Bank (at the time the sixth largest bank in the USA). During this period, I acted as Chairman of the American Banks of London Controllers Group and was the representative for the American Banks with the Bank of England.

What I wish I’d known at the start of my career
That accountancy isn’t about maths. It’s about communication and assisting clients to understand complex problems, rules and regulations and then finding solutions to help them move forward.

You might not know this about me but…
I am a keen landscape photographer and many of my pictures can be found on the walls of our UK office.
