Irene joined Dixcart International in 2003 as an administrative support, quickly establishing herself as an invaluable member of the team. Her adaptability and proactive approach allowed her to extend her contributions far beyond general administration. Irene took on a diverse range of responsibilities, seamlessly assisting not only with day-to-day office management but also providing essential support to both the Marketing and Tax Departments whenever needed.

Career Overview

Irene’s career began in 1971 with The Law Society, where she worked until 1981. She then transitioned to a position with solicitors in Surbiton, a role she held until the birth of her daughter in 1984. After her son was born in 1989, Irene re-entered the workforce, taking on part-time secretarial work with a local solicitors’ office in Hersham. Later, Irene shifted to childminding before joining Dixcart. In 2023, Irene proudly celebrated her 20th anniversary with Dixcart, marking a significant milestone in her career.

Expertise and Specialisations

As the receptionist at Dixcart, Irene’s expertise lies in her strong communication skills, which she employs to ensure that all messages and inquiries are conveyed efficiently. She is responsible for handling incoming mail, which she organises and directs to the appropriate individuals for action. Irene also serves as the welcoming face of Dixcart House, making sure that clients and visitors feel comfortable and attended to. Her role extends to managing interactions with Dixcart’s Serviced Office clients, fostering a friendly and professional atmosphere.

In Her Spare Time

Married for 49 years, Irene and her husband have two children, Kate and Lawrence, and four grandchildren who keep them busy. She enjoys short breaks, often exploring the south coast, and takes pleasure in walking and spending time by the sea.
