Accounts Senior, Dixcart International Limited

What I enjoy about my job
I enjoy the accuracy demanded in my many journeys through debits and credits. However, even more exciting is the diversity of the work and helping my clients to achieve their objectives.

How I ‘make it happen’ for my clients
I always strive to meet the expectations of my clients. As all we know, Information Technology has become an important part of our lives not only making tasks easier but also solving many problems. I like to use IT to ultimately drive efficiencies for my clients, when the needs of the business are matched with the right resources.

A bit about my background
After finishing my Master’s degree in the UK, I joined an organisation in the hospitality sector, being mainly responsible for cost control. After being there for a few years I changed my career direction towards accounting, and started working as an Accounts Assistant. Since then I have progressed to Accounts Deputy Senior and then Accounts Senior.

What I wish I’d known at the start of my career
I wish I had known more about the art of the accounting profession at the time I left school.

You might not know this about me but…
My childhood hero was Robin Hood. So my first mission when I arrived in the UK was to visit Nottingham Castle and Sherwood Forest.
